Open Houses

Keeping stakeholders and Indigenous communities informed is an important part of our major projects.

During the planning stage of a project, TransGas may hold an open house. Factors for holding open houses include project location, potential impacts, number of affected stakeholders and Indigenous communities, size or type of project, and land requirements. We send invitations to potentially affected communities and groups, but any interested parties are welcome to attend.

At an open house, company representatives present the proposed gas line route(s) or location of the gas line or facility. We discuss safety considerations, any impacts to farming, as well as environmental protection measures. Planning, construction and operational practices are also presented.

TransGas welcomes feedback, concerns and questions about our projects.
